More about The Green I Initiative Foundation

Considering a famous quote of Helen Keller - “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” the concept of The Green "I" Initiative Foundation (TGIIF) (formerly known as The Green India Initiative) is derived. The Green "I" Initiative Foundation (TGIIF) is an idea creates the appropriate awareness amongst the masses about the use of Renewable / Solar energy as necessity. The big aim of this small idea is to bring Green revolution in society and to support the environment balance.

The Green "I" Initiative Foundation (TGIIF) is a Non Government Organisation which initiates to help corporates, NGO’s and Individuals to reach out more and more rural populations who are still living their life in the darkness. Going green is both a corporate advantage and an opportunity for humanity to enable change.

Over 80% of the people of India live in the villages. There are about 6 lakhs villages while the towns and cities do not go beyond 3000 so only 18% of the total population of the country live in urban areas. There are many villages in India which are very small with just a few hundreds of people living in them. Life is very hard in these remote villages. There is no electricity and the water supply is erratic as the surrounding lakes, tanks and rivers often dry up when the monsoons fail, or during summer. Communication is difficult-even buses do not go right up to these villages. Schools and hospital are so far away that they be reached easily. If any project owned at improvement of the economic and social status of the country is to be taken up, it has to be directed towards villages and based on the life of the villages.

The keenest issue to be focused more is the electricity shortage and appropriate drinking water in village areas unable to fulfil their basic needs. These shortages further deprive these people from sustainable economic and educational opportunities. Indian economy can achieve a lot more if these people were to be given with proper energy infrastructure and a chance to contribute to skilled labour. The Green “I” Initiative Foundation (formerly known as The Green India Initiative), solves this issue by partnering with the donor organizations and developing “Green Sustainable Projects” which can lend the hand to rural schools and communities.

TGIIF is bridge between Corporate’s (eligible for CSR – Corporate Social Responsibility), International & National Level NGO’s (like Rotary Club and lions Club), Religious Organizations, Individual Social Donor and Rural Underprivileged Population (School Students, Rural Schools, Farmers & Rural Village population at Large). We have designed few sustainable green projects which includes donation of few renewable gadgets like Solar LED Lanterns (for educational & domestic use), Solar Cookers (for Mass & Midday Meal Cooking), Solar Home Lights System (for Residential Use) & bio-gas plants (for utilization of waste in proper manner). Clean technology protects the environment by providing pollution free and cost effective energy to rural areas for their growth.

The Green “I” Initiative Foundation (previously known as The Green India Initiative), strongly support, promotes and Execute environment related initiatives undertaken by Corporate, NGOs, Individuals and Society at large.
