CIGI is the outcome of a series of discussions among like-minded educationists, intellectuals and social leaders in and outside the State of Kerala. It is unique for its grassroots network with integrated follow-ups and its gallery of talents under the leadership of Dr. K.M. Abubacker (Retd. Senior Scientist, BARC & former Secretary of Atomic Energy Education Society) supported by eminent scientists / technocrats / educationalists like Dr. P.K Iyengar, Mr Sayid Hamid IAS(Retd), Dr. N Babu, Prof. K. M Bahauddin and leading sociologists
