About us
The ZOIC Pet Park located in IC Colony, Borivali, is one of only three parks located in Mumbai where pooches like us can run freely off-leash (that’s huge for us city dogs!) and socialize with our friends. All other pets are also welcome to this park (yes we want all of you to share our space and have fun). The park is run by the IC Colony Residents Pet Trust. The mission of the trust is to provide:
• Welfare and awareness for pets and pet owners
• To drive positive pet culture as per international standards
This page will provide you with all the information you need about the park, about us (so you get to know us better), events we will be conducting, and also information you need in the event that you decide to support our cause.
The incredible journey…
Not so long ago, we were like any other city pets, spending most of our doggie lives alone at home, napping on couches or carpets and eating food from our fancy bowls—no hunting or scavenging like our ancestors. With no space to spend our energy, we were left with no choice but to entertain ourselves with activities like chewing on shoes, raiding the dust bin and barking at the neighborhood cats. The only time we were really able to experience the outside world was when our human friends took us for a walk. Even that didn’t seem to go down to well with the non-pooch lovers (yes this world does have them too), who constantly complained about how we pooped and peed on the streets and messed up the place. Then, this really kind hearted soul (may his tribe increase) who is also a politician (and pooch lover) decided that it was only right to give us our space—a space where we could run and play and feel the wind in our fur…
Therein was born the idea of a park dedicated to us in the heart of one of the greenest belts in Mumbai—IC Colony, Borivali. Thankfully for us, we are a big gang and just as we are friends so also are the humans we live with. They worked together to ensure that our dream would soon turn to reality and the park was finally inaugurated on 24th August. We now have our own jogging track, play area, lounge, agility training area and even a pool (yeah you read right…a POOL!!)

Do come and visit us any day in the morning or evening. You will find the timings on this page. The park is not just limited to us who live in and around the area but to any pet who wants to make new friends and experience the joys of running around and playing without a care in the world. Even if you aren’t a pet but are a human who loves pets, do come and spend an evening with us. We promise to wuff you off your feet with our unconditional love (and a little bit of drool!) and assure you that a little bit of wet nosed K9 therapy will help drive away your blues better than any other therapy you choose.

How to get there
Get to Holy Cross Road in IC Colony Borivali. Ask for the YMCA park that is located down the road from the Café Coffee Day outlet. The park is located behind the YMCA park.
