Way Back When Farmstay

We’re a little farm stay only five hours away from Delhi, the kind of place you come to and are immediately one with the family. We offer acres of farmland for you to explore, fresh farm produce, a little dairy and poultry, dogs and most importantly all the free time one could possibly desire, all day every day, for those of you who are looking for that sort of thing. To put it simply, the sort of place a lot of the world has forgotten or unfortunately never had the opportunity to experience is now available to you, a lifestyle we wish to preserve and in turn share with anyone who would want to be a part of it.
The farm has been in the family for a little over 50 years. It is now run by the dad, a retired Air Force officer, the mum, a retired school teacher, my brother Kabir and I, there are also our four, sometimes overzealous, Alsatians and the many farm animals.
One can easily get a sense of how this name, “Way Back When”, was decided upon. Way back when, the phrase has always signified a time and place in the past. It takes us to a time when life was simpler, a time before we forgot the essence of living, it signifies a period in one’s life when everything moved slower and one had the time and willingness to appreciate the basic things in life, to eat heartily and healthily without a care in the world, to experience the unadulterated pleasure of reconnecting with oneself and nature. “Way Back When” could mean different things to different people, you know what it means to us. Time you came and found out for yourself..

What we offer:
Accommodation in the form of cottages in the orchard attached to the main house.

Bicycles to go off into the country for the day, maybe with a little picnic packed.

A pool to take a swim in and cool off on a hot spring afternoon.

You can also assist with or learn any of the farm chores if you so desire.

Or do nothing more than lean against a mango tree reading a book you’ve been meaning to finish for a very long time, with a hot cup of chai and a little slice of cake.

It’s simply a matter of doing whatever you’ve fancied doing but haven’t had the time to.
