Waste Warriors Corbett

Waste Warriors Corbett is an initiative by Minakshi Pandey of ex-Camp Forktail Creek an eco lodge she and her husband managed for over 12 years on the northern boundary of Corbett Tiger Reserve.

Minkashi is very passionate about changing the garbage situation along the boundaries of the tiger reserve, where currently no systems that been put in place for disposal or collection of waste in spite of the booming tourism in this area.

Our vision of a Clean Corbett, seeks to introduce a system of waste management in an area (stretching over 120 villages and 100 kms) where no system currently exists.

Since our launch in October 2013 we have expanded to 14 villages & 1 forest office complex in Ramnagar town. We collect, process, transport, store & dispose waste from 680 homes, 216 shops, 14 schools and 7 hotels.
