VYWS Poly Technic Badnera

The Vidarbha Youth Welfare Society's Polytechnic Badnera (Amravati) was established under the able chairmanship of late Prof. Ram Meghe in 1985 for education in the field of Engineering and Technology. It is located at just 2 kms from Badnera railway junction. The campus of the institution is abjacent to the college of Engineering, Badnera, governed by the same society. It has certain locational advantages. Badnera, a township in Amravati Corporation is a junction of central railway on Mumbai-Nagpur-Kolkata line. Amravati, a city of population well over 10 lacks, is within its easy reach. This institution is recognised by the Govt. of Maharashtra and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. It is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai.

The fully developed beautiful college campus spreads over an area of 20 acres of land. The main building comprises Principal's chamber, Administrative office, Training and Placement Cell, HOD's cabins, Staff rooms, Girls common room, Model room, Games and Sport Department, Student's Co-operative store and class rooms. There are separate buildings for laboratories and each discipline.

The institution provides instruction leading to Diploma in various branches of Engineering. The students are admitted from all parts of the India regardless of their sex, race, creed, caste or class. The medium of instruction is English.

The objectives of the institution are to foster in its students a spirit of free and disinterested enquiry to install into the minds of young learners, a sense of purposer and to help them to develop a balanced integrated personality. The method of instructions aims at developing the students initiative and ability to deal with new situations with confidence and judgement. The programme of instructions is not burdened with formal lectures. There is an even load of practical training, field work, adequate provisions of seminars, home assignments and guided studies to promote the hait of independent thinking.

The examination system based on a yearly pattern is in the line with integrated contents of curriculum. The examination is conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. During two decade, institute has earned good reputation in the field of Technical Education.
