ABOUT MARTIAL ARTS
Martial arts are codified systems and traditions of combat practices. The term martial art has become associated with the fighting arts of eastern Asia. It was originally referred to the combat systems of Europe. “The term martial arts is derived from Latin and it means arts of mars the roman god of war”.During 1990 Brazilian jiu-jksu became popular and proved to be effective in mixed martial arts competition such as the ufc and pride. In 1993 the first pancrase event was held. The k-1 rule of kick boxing were introduced based on 1980’s seido kaikan karate.Jackie chan and jetli are prominent movie figures who have been responsible for promoting Chinese martial arts in recent years.

S.UMASHANKAR is one of the most experienced BLACK BELT instructors. Having over 29 YEARS of MARTIAL ARTS experience, 10-YEARS in MONKEY KUNG FU, 5YEARS in Praying Mantis Kung fu, 10 YEARS in WUSHU SNAKE KUNG FU, 3 YEARS in JeetKuneDo (Bruce lee Art). Uma Shankar has been instructing Martial Arts for 28YEARS and been teaching at his own school for the past 18 YEARS
-Black Belt 6th degree
He is the PRESIDENT of TAMILNADU JEET KUNE DO ASSOCIATION

S.GOWRI SHANKAR-ASST SIFU
S.GOWRI SHANKAR is one of the DISCIPLE OF S.UMASHAKAR. He is also one of the leading BLACK BELT instructors. Having over 22 YEARS of MARTIAL ARTS experience, 13 YEARS in WUSHU SNAKE KUNG FU, 6 YEARS OF Gymnastics, 3 YEARS inJeetKuneDo(Bruce lee Art). Gowri Shankar has been instructing Martial Arts for 10YEARS and been teaching at his own school for the past 9 years

K.BAGUDATH MOITHEEN-ASST SIFU
K.BAGUDATH MOITHEEN is also one of the DISCIPLE OF S.UMASHAKAR. He is also one of the leading BLACK BELT instructors. Having over 11 YEARS of MARTIAL ARTS experience,11 YEARS in WUSHU SNAKE KUNG FU,3 YEARS in JeetKune Do(Bruce lee Art). Bagudath Moitheen has been teaching at his own school for the past 7years

M.YUVARAJ-ASST SIFU
M.YUVARAJ is the YOUNGEST BLACK BELT instructor in TamilNadu. He is also one of the DISCIPLE OF S.UMASHAKAR. After winning many championships, he is now focusing towards teaching the upcoming masters. His attention towards Martial arts goes way back in 2003. Having over 12 YEARS of MARTIAL ARTS experience, 5 YEARS in KARATE-SHITO RYU, 4 YEARS in WUSHU SNAKE KUNG FU, 3 YEARS in JeetKuneDo (Bruce lee Art). M.YUVARAJ has been instructing Martial Arts for 2 years in various schools and started his own school-VON LEE MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY on February 2, 2015
