INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

There is a computer laboratory with 30 latest computers with LCD monitors.All the computers are networked and WiFi enabled.We follow TechnoKids curriculum that includes technology projects and meaningful activities.

The methods of teaching followed by vidyodaya supports the educational policy of the government.Continuous and comprehensive evalution system is introduced by the CBSE which has been designed to evaluate all aspects of student's developement-including values,attitudes,scholastic and co-scholastic aspects id followed in all its minute details in vidyodaya.

To make sure that our students outperform other students at every competitive level it is necessary to ensure that each and every student receives effective individual attention. One of the aspects which decides this is the apt student teacher ratio, & here at Vidyodaya, we make sure that this ratio is maintained as 30:1 i.e. one teacher per 30 students thus limiting the class strength to 30 students per class thus ensuring that each student receives effective individual attention from the teacher.

At Vidyodaya - we do not train children to learning by force and harshness , but direct them to it by what amuses their minds , so that they may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each.....

VIDYODAYA has bloomed out into the kindergarten section too.In good airy and bright big class rooms we now have activity based,interesting and play way method learning programs for the little ones.

Education truly expands beyond the confines of the four walls of the class room in VIDYODAYA.While its emphasis is on academic excellence, Vidyodaya realises that the student's overall development must be its ultimate concern. Hence it encourages the students to engage in co-curricular and extra -curricular activities. Our basic pattern of daily lesons is enhanced by a whole range of exciting opportunities for students to extend their learning in other ways.

A special emphasis is given for the students to get adequate exposure and training in various forms of art and music such as Classical Music, Classical Dance, Western dance, Keyboard, Guitar, Drums etc... Each student is given the freedom to choose any one activity and pursue the same for minimum two years. Adequate exposure to areas such as debate, dramatics, writing and quiz are organised through special programs designed and executed.

Regular sports and games contribute to the overall quality of life.Keeping this in mind,the school promotes and encourages a number of sports activities.We have incoporated indoor and outdoor school sports activities like Shuttle Badminton, FootBall,Table Tennis, VolleyBall, Basket Ball, Cricket, Kho Kho, Athletics and Swimming.The students enjoy sports activities one hour everyday and we believe this routin keeps them happy and healthy... Sound mind lies in a sound body!

In a continued quest to impart practical education, Vidyodaya offers ample opportunities for students through field trips, camps, leadership programmes, cultural meets, athletic meets, creative workshops, and so on. Again, all these are conducted by special and trained persons to bring out the best in your child.

CLUBS:
There are actively functioning clubs-PRAKRTI-Nature club MARABHU-Heritage club, KUVIAL-Hobby club, QUEST ATLANTS-Quiz club,READER WHALES -Readers'club,pi club-Mathematics club,and SPECTRUM-Science club-in the school with expert guidance by the teachers in charge.

Yoga is an intergal part of the curriculum and the day for each child in VIDYODAYA starts with Yoga.


INFRASTRUCTURE:


DIGITAL CLASSROOM:
The school has partnered with “Educomp” to bring in world class technology enabled educational infrastructure and learning environment to support the curriculum delivery.

LIBRARY:
The school has a huge library where the students and staff have an easy access to news papers and magazines,all books for reference for all subjects,dictionaries,encyclopedias,general knowledge,biographics,fiction and CDs etc...Small shelves with newspapers and magazines are placed on the corridors also.The school library has a WiFi enabled computer systemfor online references.We have the program installed in the computer to keep a track of the books the students read.

AUDITORIUM:
There is a multipurpose auditorium which hosts dance,msic and theatre performances of the students and all the celebrations periodically.It is also used for indoor tennis and badminton.

LABORATORIES:
"Tell me and I will forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I will understand"

"The shool provides some of the most basic facilities to its students in the form of well equipped and well-maintained laboratories for science-physics, chemistry, biology, math and english.The students are guided to use the laboratories regularly and effectively for all their learning.

SWIMMING POOL:
In the pool , life is cool , swimmers rule !Swimming classes are offered to all the students once a week.
We have a regular pool and also a pool for the kids of KG section.

HOSTEL:
Hostel with well ventilated,dormitories to accommodate 60 boys and 60 girls and residential quarters for Principal and out station teachers are already functioning.There are two different kinds of boarding available-week boarding and regular boarding.Week boarders will be picked up from home on sunday in the evening and dropped back on Friday by the school van.



ROUTINE:

The academic year consists of two semesters. The school works five days a week normally and three Saturdays a week( till 12.30 PM ). The working hours are from 9.00 AM - 4.00 PM.
The process of assessment is Continuous and Comprehensive. The academic session is divided into two semesters. The evaluation encompasses Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment. Formative Assessment is carried out during the course of instruction and the Summative Assessment at the end of each Semester.
