ABOUT VASAI BRANCH OF WIRC OF ICAI

Vasai Branch of WIRC was inaugurated by the then President of ICAI CA Kamlesh Vikamsey on 5th November2005. It covers geographical area from Mira-road to Virar. It is serving about 2100 CA Members and 10,000 of CA Students in Branch area.

Vasai Branch of the CA Institute is one of the most active and dynamic Branch among other Branches and therefore during the span of just three and half years it was awarded as the Best Branch for the year 2008 in medium size category by ICAI and Best Branch award on 2008 by WIRC and after that continuously the Branch was also awarded with highly Commendable Performance award in Large Branches Category in the Year 2010 and 2011 by WIRC. In 2012 Branch was awarded with Best Branch Award from WIRC and Highly commendable Performance Certificate in large category from ICAI. In 2013 Branch was awarded with Best Students Association in large category from ICAI and Highly Commendable of Performance for Branch and Students Associations in large category from WIRC. In 2014 Branch was awarded Highly Commendable of Performance for Branch and Students Associations in large category from WIRC. In 2015 Branch was awarded with Certificate of Appreciation Students Association in large category from ICAI and Best Students Association & Certificate of Appreciation for Branch from WIRC in large category.

The object of the Branch is to provide excellent services to the Members and the Students in this area. In this direction branch has taken various initiatives such as launching of own Website, Monthly Newsletter and E- Newsletter, SMS and E- Mail messaging, Library Facility, Organizing quality Seminars, Workshops and Conferences for the Members. To keep Members and Students academically updated the branch organizes various seminars, lectures, meetings and workshops. Some Programmes are also organized for benefit of the general public as a whole which includes Public Meeting on Union Budget, Investors Awareness and Co-operative Society Programmes etc. It had also organized the five Residential Refresher Courses and Seven International Study Tours apart from various other events. This is also the five Students’ conference of the Vasai Branch.

CA students are the first priority of the Vasai branch, and since inception branch has taken various steps towards betterment of the students such as setting up ITT Centre at Bhayandar having a capacity of 42 Students for imparting computer training, Library facility at Bhayandar Orientation Training Centre at Bhayandar availability of Institutes forms and publications at branch office, CA Mock Examination Centers at Bhayandar and Vasai, E- Mail and SMS facility for Students etc.

Apart from these initiatives Branch is also regularly conducting Seminars and Workshops for Students, Free Lecture Meetings, CA Career Programs, Quiz and Elocution competitions, Sports events, Socio – cultural events and other activities for the profound personality development of the CA Students.

Great exposures are made available to the students for developing their leadership qualities, event management Skills and creating awareness about social responsibilities through various programmes under the WICASA of Vasai Branch. It Includes issues of Global Warming, Blood – Donation, Tree Plantation, Say no to Plastics and Drugs, Go Green Run, etc. Continuously every year branch organizes Students Conference.
