Udayam Theatre

Udayam Theatre is a multiplex located in Chennai. The complex includes four cinemas: Udhayam, Mini Udhayam, Suriyan and Chandran. The 40000sqft theatre complex is located on a 1.31acre plot on 100ft road in K. K. Nagar. The complex was built by 6 brothers in 1983.Udhayam Complex had three theaters (Udhayam, Suriyan & Chandiran) when it was built in 1983. Later Udhayam theatre was split into Udhayam and Mini Udhayam. Recently there were talks that Sathyam Cinemas will take over Udayam Theaters under their brand name. But these talks proved to be rumors as official word from Sathyam mentioned that they have no plans to take over Udayam Theatre.The udayam theatre is one among the oldest functioning cinema theatres in chennai.
