Tribeni & Surrounding

Tribeni is a small & quite old town, situated west bank of river Hooghly which known as Bhagirathi one of the main brunch of river Ganga. It is said that in PURANA some part of the body of devi SATI fallen here in Tribeni ghat. It is also said that when BEHULA traveled with her dead husband LAKKHINDAR in a vela, stayed here sometime for rest.
There is a very old market called DOULAT BAZAR. We have to connecting railway station to reach Tribeni, one is Tribeni & other is Mogra(around 2.5km).
