Thirunagar is a smaller locality with in the Madurai Corporation in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.Demographics and LayoutAs of the 2001 India census, Thirunagar had a population of 15,549. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Thirunagar has an average literacy rate of 87%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 89%, and female literacy is 85%.
