Founder and Chairman :

Mr. R.K Sinha, fondly known as RK in the political circles and security industry fraternity is a man of many hues. A first generation entrepreneur, Mr. Sinha started Security & Intelligence Services (India) Limited from a rented garage as office space in the eastern parts of India (Patna, Bihar) in 1974.
Today, SIS Group is recognised as one of the leaders in security and business support services in Asia Pacific (Ranked # 14 in the world by revenue) with over 78,000 permanent employees, 6000 corporate customers and a turnover in excess of USD 500 Mn (INR 2741 Crs for year ending March, 2013. Estimated revenue for 2013/14 – INR 3200 Crs).

A graduate of Political Science and Law, Mr. Sinha had started his career as a journalist specializing in crime and political reporting. He received accolades for his work as a war correspondent during the Indo-Pak war 1971.

During the same period, Sinha also authored “Janandolan” which is widely recognised as the first authentic research book on the student movement in India led by revolutionary leader Jai Prakash Narayan between 1970 – 1975.
It was Mr. RK Sinha’s inclination to help the retired ex servicemen post the Indo – Pak war that led him to create a security services company. With time SIS Group grew with his passion, drive and vision for the business.

Today, Mr. Sinha is widely recognised as a pioneer and Industry leader. He represents the private security industry before government bodies for legislation and regulatory matters regularly.

RK is also a renowned security and loss prevention expert and widely acclaimed speaker. He is a regular faculty at universities across India and US apart from delivering papers at various industry forums across the world. In recognition of his contribution to the industry, he was felicitated with Lifetime Achievement Award by Central Association of Private Security Industry (2013).

Mr. Sinha has also been a champion social initiatives. His focus has been on skill development and job creation for the youth. Under his leadership, SIS Group and various other social and charitable organisations in Bihar and Jharkhand have skilled over 2 lakh youth and created permanent employment for over 1 lakh individuals from underprivileged sections of our society. He has also led various social initiatives like dowry free community marriages, temple construction, public libraries, free ambulance service, flood and disaster relief work in the state of Bihar over the last four decades.

On the personal front, Sinha is deeply spiritual man committed to his family. He was nominated to the Rajya Sabha by Bhartiya Janta Party as Member of Parliament in 2014.

The Board of Directors :

The constitution of the Board in SIS consists of a mix of a majority of independent directors together with promoter directors and full time directors and are led by Mr. Ravindra Kishore Sinha, Chairman-cum-Managing Director. The members of the Board have wide ranging and extensive experience in various facets of business operations and their role is to supervise the functioning of the Group management directly and through various committees, apart from approving the overall strategy and direction of the SIS Group's businesses.

The SIS Group holds principal industry quality certifications both in India and Australia. These include the following :

First security Company in India to implement the ISO 9001:2000 standard for all services on an All-India basis in June 2005 and subsequently upgraded to ISO 9001:2008 in June 2008

Only security company in India to be certified by IPSA, conforming with British Standards BS 7499 and BS 7858; this certification was received in February 1999
Australia.

Nationwide ISO 9001:2008 certificate for operating quality management systems complying with requirements for provision of security manpower services across Australia
