The Loft Forum

Located in the heart of the Pune Cantonment, The Loft is a non-profit community organisation that aims to Support : Share : Inspire. We 'support' people doing meaningful things by giving them an opportunity to 'share' their work with our community, with the aim of creating an 'inspired' community. The hope is that through such sharing mutual learning and dialogue can take place. All events are curated and organised by us and are offered as a gift to the community. We actively collaborate with other organisations in the city including The Poona Music Society, the British Council, Alliance Francaise and Gyan Adab.
We aim to be a confluence of ideas and thought and introspection on the times we live in.

Types of Events include:
1. Lectures
Speakers from all fields: design, art, architecture, philosophy, science, social entrepreneurship, social science
This is the core of the event catalogue.

2. Movie Screenings/Film Festivals
Screenings of documentaries, regional, foreign, student films, short films.

3. Live Performances
The Loft has hosted live music performances, singers and spoken word artists.

The Space
The Loft is a unique, intimate space located in a hundred year old building that has been caringly restored over several years.
It can comfortably host 70 people mostly seated on the floor with about 10 seated on chairs, stools and a diwan.

Our Values:
1. All our events are offered in the spirit of gift and are open to all.
2. We do not fundraise.
3. We are volunteer run.
