The Greenfingers School , Akluj

Shiv Parvati Sarvajanik Trust, Akluj, District Solapur, was founded in the year 1973 by late Shri Shankarrao N. Mohite Patil. He is popularly known as Sahakar Maharshi – the father of the Co-operative Movement in Maharashtra.
His story is that of a common rural man who has been able to bring about phenomenal changes in the socioeconomic sp here in Malshiras Taluka in particular and Maharashtra in general.
Through his rural ingenious initiatives he has been able to build the empire of cooperative movement which is today the backbone of rural economy in India.
After the demise of Shri Shankarrao Mohite Patil, his son Shri Vijaysinh took the responsibility of carrying forward his fathers vision and the Akluj school flourished under his leadership.
Through his active participation in the political and social field, he has been able to to set up a couple of educational institutions and Cooperative industries in and around Akluj. His son Ranjitsinh is one of the Trustees and has the vigour and dynamism of a youth.
He has been able to carry forward the vision of bringing about social development through education. Green fingers residential school, Akluj, was founded by the trust in the year 1975 to impart good quality and affordable English medium education to the children of rural farmers.
Today, it is one of the most reputed residential schools run on the SSC Board pattern. Thereafter, several educational institutions were founded to impart secondary and senior secondary education to the rural people.
“In line with our philosophy to nurture enlightened citizens through educational institutions, we are adding a new chapter into the

saga of serving humanity through education.” Vijaysinh Shakarrao Mohite-Patil’s socio-political learning began at home at a young age of 15 years.
From being elected the Village Sarpanch or Chief to becoming the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Heading forward the cooperative

movement in his village to ensuring all round growth of his state, this hero of the masses has seen it all.
With his foresight he was able to extend his father’s legacy by holding countless political positions along with many posts in

cooperative and other important industries.
The best thing about this leader is that he leads by example. Greenfingers Global School is a new educational initiative that will

strive to equip children with a better future.
This young and dynamic leader has been the primer mover of the Shri Shiv Parvati Sarvajanik Vikas Trust multidimensional avtivities

since 1996.Due to his constant and dedicated efforts and meritorious work in the field of education he has been able to take the school to great heights and to have a

branch in Mumbai.

Mohite Patil with a mission of educating the rural children with the year 1975.
The school was named Greenfingers School by the first principal Late N.L.Khanolkar.The place was totally a barren land in which Sahkar Maharshi planted many trees and

due to which this barren land came to be green.Greenfingers is also a name given to kindergardens in America.So both these meaning went hand in hand for the school to

be named The Greenfingers.
The school has the back up of old experienced trustees to guide and also the young and dynamic ones.The school runs it's day affairs with the help of the 3 generations

of the trustees and therefore excels in each and every part i.e. moral,values,discipline,culture,ethicsand use of modern technology.
