Situated in the Lac growing belt in Khunti, (Ranchi), Jharkhand, India, which is the best quality lac producing area, Tajna Shellac Private Limited a Govt. of India recognized Export House came into existence in 1984. TSPL manufactures Seedlac, Shellac & Lac Dye.

In tune with its corporate philosophy of consistent growth backed by continued in house Research and Development at its well equipped and specialized laboratory, TSPL went into the production of value added Lac products under the dynamic leadership vision & stewardship of Mr. Roshanlal Sharma over a time span of two decades, it has been acclaimed to be reliable & trusted supplier in the global Shellac market.

Mr. Sharma has the experience of more than five decades in Lac industry including working at the worlds largest Shellac manufacturing & exporting industry since 1956; Achhruram Kalkhof (in partnership with Kalkhof Peterson & Stroever of Germany). Having undergone extensive training in the premier shellac manufacturing and research units of Kalkhof Peterson und Stroever in Mainz & Bremen (Germany) under the able guidance of world renowned scientists, his units undoubtedly have an edge over the competitors. He is also accredited twice to the honorary membership of Research Advisory Committee constituted by Indian Lac Research Institute, Ranchi (body of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India since 1924).

TSPL has a host of satisfied buyers in USA, UK, GERMANY, HONG KONG, INDONESIA & so on. TSPL also caters to the selected quality consumers in the domestic market in the county.

Its group company Tajna River Industries Private Limited came into existence in 1998 in collaboration with General Resins (USA), with its head office in New York for the purpose of production of value added shellacs, namely Dewaxed Bleached Shellac, Wax Containing Bleached Shellac and Shellac Wax. The entire production is sold in USA, Europe & Australia through the distribution network of Kane International Corporation.

Quality control is maintained by detailed documentation at each stage of manufacturing.
