Swarit - The School of Instrumental Music

Swarit - The School of Instrumental Music is run by Sitarist Neelam Jain who has an experience of over 30 years of Teaching different instruments to students ranging from age 6 till age of 60.

She believes there is no defined age of learning music. What requires is sincere dedication and continued practice for one to swipe their hands through the instrument.

It is not a platform for showcasing and flaunting amateur performers but an opportunity for those amateurs to groom themselves for the prolonged development.

It has been her vision to create such a school where she can devote her time in teaching what she has learnt and practiced over the years.

She has learnt Sitar under the guidance of esteemed Gurus for over 20 years and has been practicing for over 35 years now.

She learnt from Late Ms. Sulekha Sen, Guru Dr. Ravindra Kumar Adeshra and Padamabhushan & Padmashree Pt. Debu Chaudhuri.

She has done her M.Phil in Music under the guidance of Prof. Vidushi Krishna Bisht from Faculty of Music & Fine Arts, University of Delhi and has been a performing artist in All India Radio.

She has composed & executed numerous programs and taught thousands of students at her tenure of 20 years at Bal Bharati Public School, Ganga Ram Hospital Marg, New Delhi 110 060.
