More about State Bank of India Mini-Bank

SBI KIOSK BANKING is a facility provided by State Bank of India wherein customers need not go to the SBI branch to make different transactions. The branch itself comes to the customer's village or place where the customer can make transaction.

In accordance with its policy of financial inclusion, some time ago Government of India issued a notice that all villages with a population of over 2,000 should be provided with banking services. With this, the government planned to help the labor classes in urban areas by creating corresponding banking points for their families in rural areas. The government also hoped to create a banking culture among the rural masses. State Bank of India (SBI) viewed this government notice as an opportunity to reduce congestion at its branch offices, and improve service quality for its customers. This led to the deployment of Web-enabled kiosk banking by SBI. We are one of such SBI-Kiosk Banking Operator established under ‘USE”, a leading NGO in Odisha. We appreciate both SBI & USE for their extended co-operation with us for smooth running of CSPs. We have set up our SBI-Kiosk Banking at Nrisinghapur,Sanipur,Nadia (West Bengal).

SBI’s kiosk banks have the facility of cash and check deposits; while their withdrawal actions are similar to those of ATM. Existing customers who are not enrolled for kiosk banking may also use the system for cash withdrawals and deposits. The SBI system puts CSP IN-CHARGE of kiosk terminals.

Biometric payment is a point of sale (POS) technology that uses biometric authentication to identify the user and authorize the deduction of funds from a bank account. Fingerprint payment, based on finger scanning, is the most common biometric payment method. Often, the system uses two-factor authentication, in which the finger scan takes the place of the card swipe and the user types in a PIN (personal ID number) as usual.
