ST. Thomas Sr. Sec. School Mainpuri

St. Thomas Senior Secondary School, Mainpuri, is an establishment of the Catholic Church under Christian Education Society. It is a Minority Christian Educational Institution enjoying the protective rights granted under Article 29 and 30 of the Constitution of India. The School is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.

The school has successfully provided all children a broad, balanced and rewarding curriculum. The School progress report card has the students photograph which reflects our innovative skill and potential.

SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE

Housed in many multi-storied buildings, the institution has spacious, airy and well ventilated class rooms, separate well equipped with latest terminals Modern laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Accounts and Math. The School also has a rich and well furnished library, Reading Room, a huge multipurpose auditorium. Adequate facilities are there for sports and various games rendering Yeomen service in the physical development of the pupils, Art and Craft Room, Music and Dance Hall Safe drinking water, well furnished Scout and Guide Rooms including stores, separate well equipped staff rooms, lavatories, well furnished administrative wing, telephones, website, E-mail, N.C.C & Air wing.

INSIDE THE SCHOOL HOUSES

To promote good disciplines, team spirit, cooperation and healthy competition the children are divided into four different Houses viz. Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. Activities and competitions are organized house wise and, the children of different houses are made to compete with one another. Thus, the children receive the necessary backup and encouragement from the respective houses to bring out the hidden talents.

COMPETITIONS:

ART AND LITERARY COMPETITIONS

Art education has got an important place in the school curriculum as it develops the creative and imaginative sense of the students. Thus, we have separate periods allotted and special coaching given for Dance, Music, Drawing. The school conducts a variety of art and literary competitions to provide the children ample opportunities to develop the latent talents. Every year Cultural Day is celebrated and opportunities are provided to perform on the stage before an audience.

SPORTS AND GAMES

Sports and games are compulsory for all students and the dress prescribed by the school should be worn for all sports events and games. P.H.E and Drill periods are for the students to develop the required physical fitness. A lot of activities are organized every year to develop the required skill in sports and games.

CLUB AND ASSOCIATION

To widen the scope and areas of co curricular activities, a number of Clubs and Association are formed and a number of programmes and activities are held under the auspices of Clubs and Associations viz. Science Club, Nature Club, Quiz and Debate Club and Literary Association. As part of the activities of these Clubs, they organize Seminars, Talks, Experiments, Debates, Educational Tours and Quiz Competitions.
