With sixteen departments and over 1300 students, the five buildings of the college surround a sizable field in north-central Kolkata. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).Recently, it has been re-accredited and awarded 'B' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
