Srijan Mahila Vikas Sahyog Samiti Ltd

Srijan Mahila Vikas Sahayog Samiti Ltd is a registered co-operative society currently working in Bhagalpur district of Bihar. With an objective to uplift the socio-economic status of unprivileged women of rural community we are working with more than 400 self help groups. The Society is registered under Bihar cooperative Act 1935.
The major form of micro finance in India is based on women Self Help Groups (SHGs) which are small groups of 10-20 members. These groups collect savings from their members and provide loans to them. Many of these groups are village based. Members make small regular savings contributions over a few months until there is enough capital in the group to begin lending. Funds may then be lent back to the members or to others in the village for any purpose. Many SHGs are linked to banks for the delivery of micro-credits.
