More about Sree Sainadha Badarika Ashram

Sri Sainatha Badarika Ashram, founded by Sadhguru Sri Asuri Maringanti Narasimha Charya Swamiji under the ambit of “Sri Sainatha Badarika Ashram Trust” and “Sri Sundara Ramanuja Charitable Society”, is a non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating spirituality, peace and harmony. The Foundation is a human service organization that professes the universal truth of humanity and love.

Sadhguru’s darshan of Sri Dattatreya swamy in Gollapudi village, Sri Ganapathi in Suraram , Sri Sai Baba in Shirdi, Sri Narasimha Swamy in Sri Sainatha Badarika Ashram etc.., stand testimony to the divinity and spiritual essence of Sri Sadhguru Narasimha Charya Swamiji.

Sadhguru has channelled his “Tapas-shakthi” i.e. the immense penance to create an absolutely divine and serene environment at the Ashram. One can experience the positivity from the first step he places on the soil of the Ashram.

The Ashram has the spectacular temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, the Sahasra Phani Parivestitha Sri Subramanyeswara Swami, Sri Dashavathara – Dattatreya – Vedavyasa Sahitha Yagna Mandapam and Sai Namakoti Stupam, Saptharishi parikshepa Sri Guru Nilayam within its premises. Sadhguru has consecrated an unique “ Sri Astabhuja Nrusimha Ganapathi”, which is the only one of its kind, as the Kshethrapalaka.

The Ashram plot is in the shape of “Dakshinavartha Shankham” and the Maha Gopuram of Sri Sai Baba Temple has the Sudarshana Chakra Kalasham. Hence, the Ashram is also aptly named as “Sudarshana Kshethram”

The distinctive features of Sri Sai Baba Temple are the Vaishnava aradhana sampradhayas followed while conducting Pooja to Sri Sai Baba. The Sai Baba idol in the Ashram is exceptional and unmatched for. The idol has “Urdhva drushti” in the mornings wherein the idol’s eyes appears to look straight and forward and it has “Adho drushti” in the evenings wherein the idol’s eyes appears to look inclined downwards. One can clearly notice nerve projections such as “Ida and Pingala Nadi” on the forehead, chin, chest, hands and feet of the idol making Sri Sai Baba as “Yoga-Sai Baba”. There were several instances where Viboothi or Sacred Ash flowed out involuntarily from Sai Baba’s feet .

The “Dhuni” which sits in the line of sight of the divine Yoga-Sai Baba radiates psycho-spiritual energy. Hence, it purifies one’s vibrations and has beneficial impact on physical and mental health. The materials offered to the Dhuni are consumed by the sacred flame and this represents the eternal process of change and transformation.

The Foundation operates the “Sri Sundara Ramanuja Home for the Aged Orphans” which rehabilitates the aged and the destitute and gives them peaceful life by providing them with necessities and medical care. The Foundation shows them spiritual way through Siddha Yoga to provide them healthy endeavour.

The Foundation also has an “Anna Chathram” in the premises where it provides Nityannadanam i.e food is offered to anyone present at the ashram and any visitor at any time of the day, 365 days of the year.

To save the world from moral and spiritual degradation, the Goshala was established in the premises with one Krishnavarna (black) cow and the number has now increased to around 30 and is expected to rise further thanks to the personalised attention and care given. To ensure proper medical care a veterinary doctor visits the Goshala regularly. Apart from providing clean and hygienic surroundings, fresh water and ventilation, great care is taken with regards to their diet. All the cattle are served for their entire lifetime and none of the cows or bulls are sold or given away from the Goshala.

The Foundation is also environmentally conscious and takes its part in environment preservation and conservation. The Ashram premises are solar powered and the kitchens are powered with biogas.
