Sree SankaraNarayana Swamy Temple, Elamannam, Thenkurussi, Palakkad

Elamannam Sree Sankaranarayana Swamy Temple : is situated at Elamannam, Thenkurissi, is one of the oldest Temples in Palakkad District. The greatness of this Sacred Temple is in the fact that this is one of the rare temples if its kind in Kerala where Sree Sankara Narayana Swamy appears as “swayambhoo”.

This temple is located 12 kms from Palakkad town. Temple is a very good place for finding the old rituals of the Hindu mythology. The worship idol in the temple is the combination of Lord Sankara and Lord Vishnu. Festival of “Arrattu” in the temple is held during the month of March-April. Festival is conducted under the governence of Utsav Commitee, compraising of native people and Devoswam manager. Devotees from different parts of india visit this temple. Shivarathri is celebrated in a grand way with traditional rituals.
