Soumalya De is an international award-winning, Mumbai, India-based wedding photographer. Soumalya has been photographing since last 16 years and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies.

Soumalya became a wedding photographer to show the world that wedding photos could be edgy, sexy, funny, honest and full of life, and could stand alone as works of art. Today, Soumalya De and his team document weddings all over the India. In 2015 Soumalya was named as India’s Best Wedding Photographer at Global Lifestyle Awards. On the same year he has been voted as Best Wedding Photographer in Mumbai at India Lifestyle Awards. Apart from these he has been one of the Top Finalists at 2nd Sapixel International Photo Contest 2013 (Romania), Among Top 50 Finalists at Verge Magazine Travel with Purpose Photo Contest 2012 (Canada), Runners Up at Gap-Year Guidebook’s 2012 Photo Contest (UK) and several more to mention.

Soumalya’s work has been featured in Verge Magazine (Canada), The Seattle Times (US), The Gap-Year Guidebook (UK), Wedding Affair (India), Times of India (India), Hindustan Times (India), The Telegraph (India), Fotoflock (India and many others. In addition to wedding photography for hundreds of clients, Soumalya has created the images for major corporations, such as ICC, Castrol, Indian Army, Apollo Hospital, State Bank of India, Cox & Kings, Bajaj Capital, Future Group, GE, Electrolux, IBM, DLF, Cadbury, and JK Tires and more.
