SONDER RUS : Between the Sun & the Moon

When the clock strikes 12 noon on May 2nd 2015, it will serve as the conch of change beckoning the savants and the uninitiated to begin an expedition into the depths of cerebral fabric. The backwaters of river Cauvery will provide a beautifully ambiguous canvas soaking drips of inspiration and invention to nourish the auburn fields of glowing minds. At 12 midnight, the celebration ends but the voyage continues to bring the rain of colour, complexity and cohesion until the edges of time.

'SONDER RUS' was conceptualised in an environment fresh with a desire to explore the possibilities of abstract random fusion of ideas, theories and dogma. Sensory stimuli through sight, sound and touch find an abode in our carnival of erudition. The anatomy of society appears knotted but in fact is woven with a single yarn and is laid bare when exposed to the glint of music, art and architecture.

The festival is a post meridiem attempt at this very concept of cohesion, and to enable such an assay we have invited the expertise of soul stirrers, brain warmers, sigh inducers and primarily band musicians. Visual artists will contribute their impressions of existence on canvas, through sculpture and theorise with the vehicle of installation. Experiments with architecture and the nature of abode and system of elevation will itself be upon the table of examination with the participation of all curious visiting souls. Motorcycles will be admired, showered with glee and diaries of motorcyclists will be visited as a means of upheaval of traditional, linear thought as they have quite often provided the mechanism to veer off into the wind and return with thoughts of freedom.
Nourishment for the cerebrum governs proceedings, nourishment for the soul could be found by acquiring enchanting souvenirs of sensory stimulus in the flea market, and nutriment itself as well is provided for with a spread of relishes, grub and commendable comestibles.

The excursion that is 'SONDER RUS' will resonate through the clouds, breeze through the leaves, seep through the soil and remain within to burgeon into a sapling and then a tree of impulse, impetus and instigation.
