Soi {sooee} : In Local dialect (konkani) means grated coconut.

It is an essential ingredient for most of the Goan recipes. Although coconut is used adversely throughout South India, the flavours of Goa are unique and distinct. Over the years , many traditional dishes have been lost in the quest for modernisation and creating a general palette for all.
