The Irani Cafe culture came to India with the Persians back in the 1950s and today Bombay and Hyderabad host the most number of Irani cafes.
This tradition is a lost memory with the not so recent arrival of fast food chains here in India.
Through our search, only 25 such Irani cafes are now in existence.
SodaBottleOpenerWala opens its doors to revive this lost tradition bringing with it - typical Parsi cuisine and some Irani specialties, in a fun, quirky and contemporary avatar.
SodaBottleOpenerWala is a restaurant and bar concept inspired by our travel.
Sadly today this is a dying legacy in Bombay
So we challenged ourselves to travel and search beyond trends only to arrive at a wonderful chaotic, colorful and so real world of a Bombay Irani café.
