The Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Education and Research (MAEER)'s MIT Group of Institutions was set up in 1983 by Visionary Educationist Prof. Dr.Vishwanath D Karad and has since evolved into a group of 63 multi-disciplinary Institutions delivering cutting edge education to more than 60,000 students.

The beautifully landscaped huge campus of Smt. Prayag Karad Vishwashanti English Medium Gurukul (CBSE) School is located on a plateau terrain near Dudh Pandhari, Jamgaon Industrial Estate Area of Barshi in Solapur District and surrounded by vast open fields. This 25 acre campus is so close to lush green pollution free environment and about 50 km from Solapur City.
