Shubhra Chaturvedi's Studio and Home Gallery

Shubhra Chaturvedi is an artist and a photographer who is exploring the world of abstract art through painting, photography, installations and mixed media. From public art installation in Delhi Metro station to murals, from Mixed media canvas to photo art, Shubhra’s recent works have been fraught with experimentation, playing with a variety of themes, and techniques. Variegated materials, techniques and textures form apt tools to portray the dualities of life. Industrial scrap and daily use products that have been abandoned and those with interesting forms and textures are currently her medium. Recycling, storytelling and expressing views on a topic is her focus area thus contributing to make this world a little less abused. She has recently completed an art installation for Delhi Metro’s Janpath Station as a collaborative work along with another artist. The large installation (234sq mtr) titled “The jan path…” is a tribute to the Jan(people) and the historical monuments of Jantar Mantar and Agrasen Ki Baoli.

She has been engaged in doing commissioned work in public and private art space, doing interactive sessions with children and constantly exploring the world through her colours and her lens.

She is currently working on a series titled“manahstiti” (state of mind). The art works attached with this mail are part of this series.
