There is a long history to the Temple.Nadar communities in and around Udaiyanpatti village have primarily been the worshipers and followers of Shree Bathrakali Veeramakali Amman Temple.
Shree Bathrakali Veeramakali Amman Temple trust has been independently established and maintained by Hindu Nadars, who have been following the lineage of Udaiyanpatti Pathirakali since many many generations.

The word "Bhadrakali" means 'benign' (benevolent and peaceful) kali. According to Brigadier Rattan Kaul , Goddess Durga has nine important forms including Bhadrakali [also named Siddhidhatri]. It is believed that Goddess Bhadrakali was a local deity that was assimilated into the mainstream Hinduism, particularly into Shiva/Shaiva mythology. Bhadrakali is primarily represented with three eyes, and eight hands. She carries a number of weapons, with flames flowing from her head, and a small tusk protruding from her mouth. There are several mythological stories about Pathirakali.

The Trust has been functioning solely with the generous donations and support from its devotees and followers. The temple committee members generally visit each of the members and families for collecting the donations and gifts to meet out the expenses of the Temple and festivals and the construction is going on. The committee is now planning to collect the donations through the regular method of direct collection.
