In June 2005, TAFE acquired the Eicher tractor business based at Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), its engines plant at Alwar (Rajasthan) and the transmissions plant at Parwanoo (Himachal Pradesh), through its wholly owned subsidiary TAFE Motors and Tractors Limited (TMTL).

TAFE's first overseas plant went on stream in September 2010, at Manisa, Turkey. TAFE stands today, as a dynamic multi-brand giant, moving towards US $2 billion revenues in 2012-13.
