Shilp Sangh is a Co-operative Society Ltd, comprising of women painters adept and skilled at traditional Mithila paining, in Ranti village in Madhubani district, Bihar. Formed in 2009, Shilp Sangh works for the two fold mission of helping the skilled poor communities to access livelihoods on a sustainable basis, and providing ownership to the skilled poor as its principle stakeholders, through their own creative skills.
Associated with the The Asian Heritage Foundation, World Bank- Japan Social Development Fund sponsored Jiyo! and World Bank- Government of India and Bihar sponsored Jeevika project , Shilp Sangh focuses on income generation through design led development- creating affordable design led produces and services to meet the requirement of the ever increasing young/ urban markets, new townships,rural and semi rural establishments.
