Shanthi’s The Garment Shop, at present functioning in No:11 , 1st Avenue Indira Nagar , Adyar , Chennai-600 020 , was incepted in February 1998 , by Mrs. S.Shanthi ,Propretrix, a Post Graduate in Mathematics, with an excellent flair for innovative marketing and managerial skills .

Her spouse, Mr.S.Sankaralingam , who had a tenure of 12 years with Government of India under Ministry of Textiles, with great exposure about Quality control , testing , implementation of ISO9000 and implementation of Azo free dyes in garments , in the garment industry, joined her as a manager of the store. Now , their only son S.Ram Sambandan , who has done his graduation in B.Tech IT and was employed with Wipro Technologies Ltd., direct from the campus on SAP with an experience of 2 years has joined , Shanthi’s as Manager -Retail Solutions.

The store has various sections as, infancy , maternity , women under clothing , boys and girls garments , ladies garments , mens wear and underclothing for all.
The infancy section stocks all wide range of infant products adhering to EN71, ASTM , Baby safety norms of various brands which serves every unique baby.This section also stocks various requisites of the baby like diapers (washable and disposable) , napkins , jablas , towels , wash towels, mouth towels ,sippers , feeding bottles , accessories , prams , cots , cradles , walkers , strollers and in short , it is a one stop shop of all the baby needs.

The maternity section house a variety of pre natal and post natal formal and leisure wear for women in a wide range . Also , it house a variety of post natal requisites like breast pumps, nipple shields, breast pads , nipple puller , feeding undergarments , feeding gowns , feeding formal wear and feeding brassieres .This section is always well received by all new mothers and mothers.

The store has an exclusive underclothing section for women. Which stacks all major brands like Lovable , Enamour , Amante , Daisy Dee, Juliet , Jockey , Trylo , Lady care and all major brands in women undergarments . It is needless to say that , this section is one of a very few counters in Chennai , covering all the major brands and styles and the concept of the section is a scientifically evaluated fitness consultancy on every individual based on measurements , so as to give them a right fit and comfort . Shanthi’s also stocks a wide collection of disposable baby and adult diapers and adult incontinence needs in wide range and all the maternity and infancy products .Adult diapers , maternity and infancy products are home delivered throughout Chennai , free of cost on call.

The excellent customer service , quality and pricing and a personal rapport with the customers by the propretrix , manager and manager-retail has reached the customers very well as they can redress any short-coming in the store . As such , still today , it has been a well received store in the Chennai.
To augment , to the wide topography of Chennai , Shanthi’s had opened a maternity and infancy , women underclothing store at Arcot road , Valasarawakkam , Chennai – 600 087 , 2 years before under the name and style Shee. Since , the inception of this store ,it has been well received by the customers of that topography.
