Seventh-Day Adventist Sr. Secondary School, Lucknow

The Seventh Day Adventist Senior Secondary School located on the 17,Vidhan Sabha Marg ,Lucknow is one of the 5,519 schools operated by Seventh Day Adventist Organization around the world. It is one of the 320 schools operated in India. Its establishment dates back to November 3, 1915 by the British missionaries Pastor& Mrs. A.H Williams. To begin with there was only one teacher and six students when the school was started.

Since its inception with one teacher and six students the school has undergone various stages of development and progress in its infrastructure as well as academic aspects. During the stewardship of Mr. A. Bairagee the school was affiliated with the ICSE Council New Delhi in 1982. Later in 2002 the school was affiliated with ISC council New Delhi under the stewardship of Mr. Ravi Gill. It has now a multi-community enrolment of over twelve hundred and seventy students with sixty strong faculties.

The development of character is the aim of Adventist Education. Our mission is therefore to operate a program where emphasis on character development is maintained. In order to ensure this the curriculum includes the regular subjects as well as Moral Science. In order to conceive academic excellence the extra classes are arranged for the students. The spiritual need of the students is taken care through the morning prayers during which songs are sung, stories are narrated and short skirts are performed by students guided by the Adventist teachers to motivate their lives.

As far as the infrastructure of the school is concerned the school has well furnished science and computer labs, library and recently constructed new examination hall to facilitate the students to appear for board examination
