In India every year there are 75000 deaths only from road accidents. On an average day we have 205 deaths on Indian roads. Every hour we have 1 death, 6 injuries and 9 accidents. To summarize the high fatality on our roads: one person dies due to significant road trauma every 7 minutes. The scenario is worst at night when drivers avoid using head light and increase the risk eight folds. The problems are due to lack of infrastructure like 4-lane national highways, proper markings and sing boards. In these injuries every alternate patient has fractures, Spinal & Joint injuries. These injuries are very sensitive and required utmost care specialized well equipped centres.
