Sensing the ever-growing need for competent and professionally trained managers in the hospitality and IT industry, SAMS foundation was laid in 1997. At SAMS, our main aim is to augment the overall position of the students belonging to the lower and middle classes of our society, who have, so far, been bereft of their due privilege to earn professional education. So, we have embarked upon furthering the noble cause of imparting professional education. Our efforts have lead to the generation of employment opportunities for students mainly belonging to the lower and middle classes of the country.
While the infrastructure at SAMS is modern, the teaching process is highly interactive and conventional, and enables students to have the right balance of theoretical and practical knowledge. In addition, what makes SAMS students unique is that they have adequate work experience before they actually complete their course at SAMS and begin their professional career. (LATE) Dr. Raj Kumar Singh was the Founder Chairman & Director General of the Society of Advanced Management Studies, Varanasi. He rendered his valuable services to the hospitality industry as an administrator at senior positions in India and abroad and later, in hospitality education for over a period of two decades. He was one of the ace management professionals of the country, who was honored as a distinguished member of Hotel and Catering International Management Association (H.C.I.M.A.), LONDON. He bagged many a prestigious degrees and diplomas from the universities and institutions of global repute like D.H.C.T. (W.B.), P.G.D.B. (U.P.), C.F.N. (New Delhi), M.Sc in Hotel Management and Tourism, Masters of Commerce and a Ph.D. He was also an examiner and paper-setter of different universities in India. On several occasion he had been invited as speaker, to deliver guest lecturers in conferences, seminars and symposiums in hospitality industry, institutions and catering colleges. His lectures took him to Bangkok, Malaysia, Cambodia, Abu-Dhabi and the 40th Annual Convention of Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India, held in Dubai, UAE.He was awarded the honour of ‘Shiksha Ratna’ for his outstanding contribution in the field of employment oriented education by the then Cabinet Minister Mr. Shiv Pal Singh Yadav and IT Minister Shri Birendra Singh, Govt. of U.P. during Varuna Mahotsava, held in Varanasi.
His ultimate desired goal and dream was to provide high quality technical education to the students and faculties of catering colleges in India and abroad.
