Sacred Heart HSS, Dwaraka

Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School is a Catholic Minority institution founded by late Rev.Fr.Mathew Kattady in the year 1983. Social, educational and pastoral development of the area was the motive behind the inception of this school. This school with a difference aimed at the empowerment of economically and socially backward students of the locality. The school was started with secondary sections and later on in the year 2002 it was upgraded as higher secondary school.

The school is dedicated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The school which had very humble beginning in 1983 had been blessed with human resources, financial support and recognition of the state government. In the year 2008 the school celebrated its Silver Jubilee.

The ambiance provided by the school facilitates quality learning, intellectual curiosity, scientific temper, academic excellence and harmonious development of the students. The mission of the school is to develop well qualified, globally accepted, world class technically sound professionals, innovative ideas with social commitments and highest ethical values as inner strength, for the upliftment of humanity trained through experienced faculty, career oriented classes and interactive teaching-learning process.

The school has a steady and stable history of academic performance and excellence. Today this school ranks number one in the district and one of the leading educational institutions in the state of Kerala. Followed by the founder manager late Rev.Father Mathew Kattady, Norbertine Fathers John Nelluvelil O.Praem, Salu Mooleparambil O.Praem, Jose Cheruplavil O.Praem and Thomas Arackal O.Praem were the managers of this prestigious institution. Rev.Sr.SinClare FCC, Sr.Elsa James SH, Mrs.Catherine PJ and late Mrs.Lovely Joseph were the principals of the school. Rev.Fr.Jose Chempotickal O.Praem is the present manager and Mrs.Dr.Shyma T.Benny is the principal of the school.

At present the school has 19 teaching staffs and four non-teaching staffs. Today we have three streams with 2 science batches, one commerce and one humanities batch. The strength of the Higher Secondary Section is 405 students.
