Rural Development Programme - RDP

The Rural Development Program (RDP) is an explicitly service oriented non-governmental organization (NGO), registered in District Administrative Office, Humla, Nepal on 2053/08/25. It contains legal status with registration No. 17./2053/54 and is also affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), Nepal with affiliation No. 5441. The RDP is one of the most active and experienced non governmental organization working in Humla district of Karnali region of the Nepal. with the aim of reducing poverty in the humla district, one of the least development district from the view point of human development index and infrastructures it has been carrying out number of activities such as distribution of drinking water and improving sanitation measures, advocacy for gender and social inclusion in all the development activities, enhancement of adult literacy through informal education campaign, raise in production and production of agriculture produce through improved agriculture practice and construction and maintenance of community irrigation structure, increase in profit margin of the farmers through commercial agriculture practice and agriculture value chain development, improvement of livestock herds through livestock breed improvement program and commercial livestock farming and improving lives of the conflict victims, poor and marginal people through some emergency programs and vocational training and training on handicraft manufacture and commercial vegetable and fruit farming.
