More about Mount Harriet National Park, Andaman Island

About the trip
Welcome to the remotest corner of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Diglipur Island. This trip brings up an altogether different flavour of the Andaman Islands.
You drive your way through jungle forest, Jarawa Tribe Reserve and Ride-on Vehicle ferry (These boats carry vehicles from one island to the other). to reach Diglipur Island or Mayabunder where you spend a night to rest and relax after a journey of around 250 Km by road.
Next day, we refresh and start back again to reach Aerial Bay from where you board a boat to visit Ross and Smith Island. The exciting part about this destination is that it's unique and no island in the Andaman archipelago offers an experience as this one. This island is pristine to be honest. A sand bar adjoins Ross and Smith Island. Basically, these are two different islands joined by a sand bar. Upon reaching the dock, you board a boat to Ross and Smith island. Here you are also briefed about your boat ride and you are provided with life jackets as well.
The boat journey is for around 20 minutes. After you reach ross and smith island, you can rest and relax. You can swim and snorkel here in this island. Please note that life rings are present for you to enjoy the water at this island. The turquoise coloured waters here are the best you can see in any of the destination in the Andaman Islands because very few travelers visit this destination.
Also, note that NO guided snorkeling takes place here as in Havelock Island or Port Blair.
This trip is for 3 days. The first day, we begin our journey from Port Blair and we take a break somewhere close to Diglipur Island for a night stay. Mayabunder is a good option for a night stay which is 240 Km from Port Blair and just 40 Km from Diglipur Island. It takes around 8-9 Hours to reach Mayabunder. During the drive we will take pit stop in Baratang Island and Rangat. Ambkunj beach, which lies on the way will be covered as well. The next day we start from your hotel to Ross and Smith Island. We enjoy the boat ride, the ross and smith islands and return back. You spend around 4 -5 Hours in Ross and Smith Island. Post journey we either take you to Rangat or Diglipur for overnight stay before returning back to Port Blair the next day. Our chauffeur is always there with you during the trip to Diglipur island.
A personal AC vehicle is provided during your trip. You can take pit stops anywhere during the drive except for the Jarawa Tribe Reserve as vehicles are not allowed to stop in the tribe reserve.
All entry tickets, boat ride, drivers charges and vehicle charges are covered for 3 Days (From Port Blair to Diglipur and return after visiting Ross and Smith Island). This attraction is CLOSED ON MONDAY.
