RGGI Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering came into existence in the year 2004. It is a major department of the college. At present, it offers undergraduate and postgraduate course in Mechanical Engineering. Since its inception, the department has actively participated in teaching, training, design, development, research and extension activities. The courses are meticulously designed for basic concepts and keep the students in tune with the latest developments and advances in mechanical engineering.
The department has a number of well equipped laboratories for imparting training to B.Tech./ M.Tech. students such as:
• CAD/CAM
• Automobile lab
• Fluid Mechanics Lab.
• Fluid Machinery Lab.
• Heat and Mass Transfer Lab.
• Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Lab.
• Engineering Mechanics Lab.
• Theory of Machines Lab.
These labs cater the needs of UG as well as PG students. The students graduating from this department have just the right ingredients to set the industrial, managerial, administrative world ablaze with their achievements.
The department has a team of high caliber faculty members dedicated to teaching and research. Most of the faculty members are postgraduates with academic as well as industrial experience.This ensures theoretical and practical knowledge to the students. The department is also enriched with quality technical staff which further enhances the learning prospect of the students.
