Raniganj is an assembly constituency in Araria district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is reserved for scheduled castes.OverviewRaniganj is a Block in Araria district of Bihar. It is having 32 Panchayats. It is one of the largest blocks in Araria District. Lalji High School is a famous high school of this region. Kalawati college and SNV college are two main colleges which provide graduation level education. Currently Sri Achmit Rishidev is representing the constituency in Bihar Assembly. Recently an ITI college is proposed by the Bihar government which would further enhance the technical education prospect in the region. As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No 47 Raniganj (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Raniganj community development block; Birnagar East, Birnagar West, Dhaneshwari, Haripur Kala, Khutha Baijnathpur, Naya Bhargama and Vishaharia gram panchayats of Bhargama CD Block.Raniganj (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No 9 Araria (Lok Sabha constituency) (SC). Raniganj is also famous for pure ghee.
