P.S Matriculation Higher Secondary School

P.S. Matriculation Higher Secondary School founded in 1988 is recognized by the Department of Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. It is a unit of P.S. Educational Society. The School is located in its own spacious premises with well-equipped laboratories, library and adequate playground facilities. It is co-educational.

The school has a Junior Nursery, Senior Nursery and Standards I to XII. The school functions as a full-fledged Higher Secondary School. A team of devoted and qualified teachers under the guidance and supervision of an experienced Principal carry out all the academic work and co-curricular activities.

CURRICULUM

The School follows the recognized pattern of education of the Board of Matriculation School, Tamil Nadu Government for Standards I to X and the pattern of education set by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Tamil Nadu Government for Standards XI & XII.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Various Associations / Clubs function in the school such as the Literary Associations, Socio-Economic Club, Science Club and the Eco Club and the World Wild Life Club (Lap Wing). Membership of the Associations / Clubs is open only to the Students of VII to XII Standards and is optional. They meet regularly to carry out specific activities such as discussions, debates, guest lectures, project work, exhibitions, educational excursions / visits, etc.
Quiz programs are conducted for all Standards I to XII according to their respective levels on Inter-House basis.
Elocution / Handwriting / Recitation Competitions are held for Standards I to V.
Scouts & Guides – Membership is optional. RSP & NCC – Membership is optional.
Essay writing competitions, extempore speech competitions and debates are conducted for Standards VI to XII.
Arts and Crafts competitions are held for all standards.
Students are encouraged and guided to take part in various Inter-School competitions.
Students are encouraged and trained to take part in the Zonal and District level Sports and Games Meets. Inter-House matches are also held.
