Project Legal Renaissance

Hundreds of years ago Pythagoras preached to his disciples, the ones who later on came to be known as Pythagoreans, that the greatest purpose of man is thought. He ought to have referred to the great deliberation and scrutiny of ideas he undertook with his disciples. Probably Pythagoras understood the true power of thought. It is indeed the thought and precisely the imagination that flows out of it, which primarily shapes and directs the world. Perhaps such is the influence of thought that it shapes almost all outcomes in the society. Its implications are unprecedented. Hence, it wouldn’t be wrong to conclude that thought is the basis of all existing world.

It’s this philosophy that we live by at PLR. We believe that society could be best understood by thoughtful deliberation and criticism of perceivable and observable phenomenon. Such an understanding contextualizes imagination as a building block of the society and with time modifies into the meta-knowledge of the society. At PLR our objective is to play whatever little role we may in this process of building meta-knowledge for the society at large.

We at PLR specifically focus on aspects of Law, society, politics, economics and whatever else that is composed of human constructed systems at large. We write opinions, reflections, articles, researched posts and research papers. For the ease of access and understanding, we label them with stars. However that is not the end. Our larger organization undertakes various other initiatives like editing Wikipedia, blogs, papers etc., critiquing various system phenomenon and working on to facilitate larger discourse in the most efficient manner.

We hope to facilitate a larger dialogue with our efforts. We hope that our work forms basis for met-knowledge and hence the larger social discourse. We the team of PLR welcome you to our blog and hope you have an enlightening time!
