'Poraiyahat is a small town in east jharkhand on Bihar border. it's a educational center in this region,there serveral good school for higher secondary study and pre nursary and Play school in town.namly mount assisi school,st Francis school, Holy family, SRT public school,Bina bharti public school,Anand Marg public school, etc Poraiyahat' (community development block) of Godda district, Jharkhand state, India. It is located 26 km from Godda, the district headquarters. Adani group has started land aqusation process for setting up tharmal power plant project in Poraiyahat and Godda Block, Same ups and downs and protested by Local MLA Poraiyahat Pradip Yadav on land aqusation issue,now State govt of Jharkhand has also taken proactive plan for setting up tharmal power plant for developing of this region.GeographyPoraiyahat is located near the Jharkhand-Bihar border.The town has six zones: first, River zone which included Gyaytrinagar, second, Purana Bazar and Shiv colony, third, Main Road where a market, daily vegetables & fish market, bus station and a few banks are located, four, the zone is around Bhanjhi Road which is the second market zone with wholesale business, fifth, is Darne Road and it is a coching and student friendly area, and sixth, hospital area which has a private hospital, Mary Hospital, and Govt CHC Hospital.DemographicsAs per the 2011 Census of India Poraiyahat had a total population of 6,319, of which 3,296 (52%) were males and 3,203 (48%) were females. Population below 6 years was 876. The total number of literates in Poraiyahat was 4,106 (64.98% of the population over 6 years).
