Popular Automobiles, Kakinada, was established in the year 1965 by Sri. Pydah Krishna Rao in association with his brother Sri. Pydah Sehagiri Rao.

Popular Automobiles, Kakinada, entered into Automobile arena as Sub Dealer for M/S SUNDARAM MOTORS P. LTD., for PREMIER products for Sales and Service.

In 1974, Popular Automobiles, Kakinada, became a Proprietary concern and was headed by Mr. Pydah Krishna Rao. He is also a well known Social worker, Philanthropist, and an active Lions member.

Mr. Pydah Krishna Rao’s Son Mr. Someswara Rao, fondly known as SOMU, joined Popular Automobiles in 1989 as employee attended training camps for expertise and technical up gradation.

From 1965 to 1999, Popular Automobiles, Kakinada, was associated with M/S SUNDARAM MOTORS, Chennai, handled Sales and Service of M/S Premier Automobiles P. Ltd., And was also AUTHORISED SERVICE STATION for M/S FIAT-INDIA Ltd., as a Sub Dealer for M/s TVS Sundaram Motors, Chennai.

1999 to 2003 Popular Automobiles, Kakinada, became Authorized Dealer for Sales and Service for M/s FIAT-INDIA LTD., and was part of wide range of Sales of Fiat Uno, Fiat Palio, Fiat Siena.

Between 2007 and 2009, M/S Orange Auto Ltd., Hyderabad, and appointed Popular Automobiles, Kakinada, as Sub Dealers for Chevrolet brand cars which sold 86 no’s before they set up their own Dealership at Rajahmundry, East Godavari.

Our workshop is manned by 30 no’s of skilled employees working on floor space of 5000 Square feet which includes Updated Paint Chamber, Lift and Washing bay.

We have strong and happy customers who visit our workshop for regular maintenance.

Spares are maintained in full stock for Fiat-India cars.
