An Initiative by Ahmedabad Rural Police “Suraksha Setu “ and Life Skill Foundation to produce News paper bags for creating employment.for women from police lines and economically weaker section of society around
police lines(An Area where police personnel lives).

The objective is to produce Eco Friendly News paper bags to reduce the usage of plastic/brown carry bags in Ahmedabad and provide livelihood to women's weaker section of society

Reasons we started this initiative :

#1 We hate plastic bags.
#2 Employment - Income - Empowerment

These are the two factors which drives us in our initiative “Paper Dreams”, where we use newspapers to make bags and help in income
generation.

Our bags are made by the women of underprivileged backgrounds. The income that
they get from making the bags supplement their family income It is a win-win situation for all :-

#1They earn money,
#2 Eco friendly bags are made,
#3 Plastic gets avoided,
#4 Newspaper reused
#5 No Trees cutting for pulp

Hence making our earth a bit greener! Newspapers are readily available, so we must make as much use of them before they are sent to recycle.

if you are a boutique you can support us by buying our bags and if you are a corporate You can support us by donating your old news paper (Pasti) so that we can convert them
into Bags and help generate income for women members of this initiative.

This can be a very small step towards women empowerment.
