Nupur Dance Academy

In 1981, Mrs. Gopa Mukherjee founded Nupur Dance Academy and gave a shape to her dreams. Nupur Dance Academy started its journey as a small dance troupe with a handful of music and dance enthusiasts in Krishnagar. During the past three decades it has grown significantly with branches at Shantipur and Barasat of West Bengal.
The troupe had its first television performance – in 1992 on “Aj Kal O Ekti Nodir Golpo”.
Nupur Dance Academy has a choreography team that researches and creates new fusion of Indian classical dance in modern creative themes. Some members of Nupur Dance Academy are approved artists of Song and Drama Division, West Bengal.
