The MBA Program was started in the year 2006 at the Institute (NRI-NIIST) with a global vision to share the country’s endeavor to produce effective management professionals to meet fast growing domestic and global business needs. The MBA Department is equipped with exclusive state-of-the-art Infrastructure Computer Lab, library providing latest e-services, classrooms and Seminar hall with LCD Projectors, Audio-Visual (Multimedia) hall with videoconferencing facilities.

The two years full time Master of Business administration (MBA) Program is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Barkatullah University, Bhopal. The department is committed to groom skilled and effective managers to meet evolving needs of the Industry and trade globally. The department has highly qualified, dedicated and experienced faculty with corporate and international exposures. The students are trained by rich pool of corporate trainers and entrepreneurship development cell activities, Industrial tours, as well as regular interface with industry experts through guest lectures and workshops. The students are also involved in co-curricular and cultural activities such as simulation exercises, business games, mock interviews, role plays and group discussions, case studies and business awareness sessions, annual fests (Novizio). The campus offers plenty of beautiful Wide, open lawns and cleared spaces for students to take part in a whole range of sporting activities.

Eligibility and Admission Criteria

The candidate seeking admission must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification with at least 50% aggregate marks (for SC/ST and OBC - 45%) or equivalent CGPA of any of the institutes/ Universities recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD),Government of India. Foreign candidates may also apply through PIU quota.
The candidates should appear in CMAT MBA entrance exam conducted by AICTE every year. The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges. However the Institute may fill the vacant seats through College level counseling. All admissions are done through DTE.
