Netaji Subhas Regional Centre,Sports Authority Of India,Lucknow

Netaji Subhas Regional Center,is situated at Sarojini Nagar Kanpur Road, Lucknow.It was inaugurated on 23rd Feburary 2004 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Of India, Shri Atal Bihari Bajpai.

The Center is spreads over 65 acres land.It has all the modern infrastructural Facilities, required for providing in House Medical, scientific & regular traning including lodging and boarding facilities In various sports.

Before 31st March 2009 NS Sub Center was under the Jurisdiction of Central Regional Center Bhopal and w.e.f 1st April 2009,It was given Independent status.In Feb 2013 The Sub Center was upgraded as Regional Center.
The Following two states are under the jurisdiction Of N.S. Regional Center Lucknow:-

(i) Uttar Pradesh
(ii) Uttrakhand

MAIN OBJECTIVE AND FUNCTIONS

--> Promotion and development of sports.
--> Talent identification.
--> Grooming and nourishing of sports persons to achieve.
--> To implement sports promotional schemes of SAI namely. SAI
Training Center Scheme. Special area games scheme, National
Sports Talent Contest Scheme, Army Boys Sports Company,
Extension Center Scheme. Center of Excellence Scheme,
Come & Play Scheme.
--> To provide scientific support and training facilities.
