The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Centre (formerly DOEACC), Aurangabad was established in the year 1986 jointly by DIT, MCIT (erstwhile the Department of Electronics), Govt. of India, Govt. of Maharashtra and Dr. B.A.M. University, Aurangabad (Maharashtra). It has been established primarily to train man-power in electronics design and technology. The institute is engaged in the area of manpower training, product design & development, applied research and consultancy in the field of Information, Electronics, and Communication Technology (IECT). One of the objectives of the institute is to disseminate knowledge through ICT (e-learning).
